How do you calculate fuel consumption?
Multiply the distance by the average consumption and divide by one hundred. 300 kilometres at 7 litres per hundred uses 21 litres. At €1.80 a litre the trip costs €37.80, or about 12.6 cents per kilometre.
What counts as good fuel consumption?
A new small petrol car typically uses 5–7 litres per hundred kilometres, a mid-size diesel 4.5–6 litres and a large SUV 8–11 litres. Town driving usually costs about a third more than motorway driving.
What does a Tallinn–Tartu trip cost in fuel?
