How many centimetres are in an inch?
Exactly 2.54 centimetres, or 25.4 millimetres — not a rounding but the international definition agreed in 1959. So a 32-inch screen measures 81.28 centimetres diagonally and a 15-inch laptop 38.1 centimetres.
How do I convert feet and inches to metres?
Convert everything to inches, multiply by 2.54 and divide by a hundred. A height of 5 feet 10 inches is (5 × 12) + 10 = 70 inches, which is 70 × 2.54 = 177.8 centimetres. A foot is twelve inches, and mixing the two up is the usual mistake.
