Days between dates
The gap between two dates is the number of days from one to the other: the calculator subtracts the earlier from the later and also expresses the result in weeks, approximate months and the Monday-to-Friday days a deadline usually turns on.

Are both dates counted?
No. The calculator returns the difference between the dates, so 1 March to 31 March is 30 days, not 31. When a period is counted inclusive of both ends — holiday days or the length of a sick leave, for instance — add one day to the result.
How is the number of months worked out?
The month figure is approximate, because months differ in length. The calculator divides the days by an average month of 30.44 days, which is a year of 365.25 days split twelve ways. For example, 100 days works out at 100 / 30.44 = 3.3 months.
